About the Author

Do you love reading fiction? Reading is one of the most inexpensive escapes that you can find in life, enabling you to travel to any part of the world or even to other worlds, party with just about any kind of people, and be whoever you want to be once you open the first page of a book.

That is the beauty of reading and you do not need to spend a fortune to get that feeling and enjoy the experience. That is also why many writers do what they do – to give their readers a new character, a glimpse into a new world.

As an author, the greatest satisfaction for me is when I receive feedback from readers telling me how much they enjoyed a book I’ve written.

At Allan's Books...

You can step into the world of drama, crime, fantasy or give yourself a good scare by reading mild horror stories.

Reading is fun, and it becomes even more rewarding when those stories stay with you for a long time even after you have read the last word on the last page of the book.

That is the kind of story that I aspire to create and I strive towards that goal with each book I write.

In October 2016, I launched my “flagship” contemporary fantasy series, “The Pegasi Chronicles” which is geared towards the teen/young adult reader. Four books in the series have now been published: Book 1: The Sacred Knife, Book 2: The Portal,  Book 3: The Five Kingdoms and Book 4: The Emperor’s Ring. The fifth (and final?) book in the series (working title: The Demon’s Lair) is currently under development. You will find all of these books online at Allan’s Books, Amazon, and other online bookselling platforms.

Like many writers, I am not limiting myself to only one genre. My first mystery/crime novel, The Council, is  available on Amazon and on my website. There are now two more books in the series, Deceit in the Academy and Art and Malice.

The Nate Grimes series follows the work of police detective Nate Grimes. In the first two books, he is working for the Cedar City Police Force. In the third book – that has just been published – he has left the police force and is working as an independent security consultant. The decision to leave the police force was prompted by the discovery he had a son, and he wanted the independence to delve deeper into the secretive criminal organization known as the Council.

I have also published two historical novels that were inspired by actual events. A Presumption of Guilt is set in Kingston, Ontario in 1852, while Death on the Canal is set in Ottawa in 1870.

For those who enjoy mild horror, I have written three novellas: The Soul Thief, The Haunting of Seaview Manor and The Haunting of St. George College. All are available on Amazon. Also available it Legends, Folklore and Other Tales which is a collection of  “ghost” stories from Stittsville.

I hope you will find time to read my books and stories – allow yourself the luxury to travel to other worlds, other countries or solve a mystery. As an author, the greatest satisfaction comes from getting positive feedback from my readers.
